During the new Presidents’ first term in office, he will be faced with the growing energy crisis and global climate changes.

If you were elected President, how would you reduce global carbon emissions? How would you reduce energy consumption in your home? What new sources of renewable energy would you create?

The 2008 Summer Olympics will be held in Beijing, China, which suffers some of the worst air pollution on earth. Already, scientists from competing countries are trying to figure out how to keep their athletes safe. How would you get Olympians fresh air during competition without slowing them down?
Every February 2, all eyes fall on Punxsutawney, Pa., where a groundhog named Phil pops out of his hole to issue his forecast: if he sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter; if he doesn't, early spring. Fun is fun, but weather reports from a rodent? Can you think of a more reliable invention to predict the coming of spring?
Imagine winter without snowboarding, skating, sledding, or even snowball fights. Not only would it be cold, dark, and snowy… but BORING! No wonder people have been playing winter sports since the dawn of the last Ice Age. Can you create a new sport or game to be played outside in winter?
